Schacht Tapestry Loom

Create Tapestries with Schacht

The Schacht Tapestry Loom is a simple type of loom that holds a continuous warp under tension, allowing the weaver to see all of the warp at once. The weaver forms a shed by using heddle bars and string heddles or Texsolv heddles. While only two heddle bars are needed for traditional tapestry weaving, Schacht provides four heddle bars so that beginner-level weavers can also experiment with 4-shaft pattern weaving.

This 63.5cm (25″) tapestry loom features a tension beam with thumb screws to maintain even warp tension throughout your weaving. The continuous warping system on this loom allows a 152.4cm (60″) long warp to be put directly on the loom without the use of any other warping tools.
